一個把中西方樂器融匯在一起﹐演奏出非一般中樂的音樂會日前在萬錦劇院舉行﹐這個令當日在座觀眾聽得如癡如醉的「青年、鋼琴、中樂團」音樂會由多倫多中樂團主辦﹐演出十分成功﹐達到主辦機構中樂年輕化的目的。

數十名多倫多中樂團成員在音樂總監彭進秀指揮下﹐奏出近10首非「熟口熟面」的中國音樂﹐其中《鳳之夢》、《神鵰俠侶》選段、《老虎磨牙》序曲更是在當晚作世界首演﹐多倫多的中樂愛好者﹐包括當晚出席嘉賓安省旅遊及文化廳長陳國治﹑駐加拿大香港經貿處長蕭慕蓮﹑中國駐多倫多總領事朱桃英等﹐實耳福不淺。

13 musicians from TCO were among the 80+ member joint orchestra performing at Winspear Centre on the first day of the Edmonton Chinese Music Festival. Musicians were from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vancouver, Toronto, and Edmonton.

TCO will be participating in “Bonne  Musique” 美樂交融聚愛城 Chinese Music Festival, organized by Edmonton Chinese Philharmonica. It is the first festival of its kind in Canada.
