Felix has been an active member of Toronto\u2019s Chinese music scene for over 18 years. A born Canadian, he joined the Toronto Chinese Orchestra (TCO) in 1997. Inspired and supported by his predecessors\u2014to whom he is grateful for their tirelessness in establishing the groundwork for Chinese orchestral music in Ontario\u2014and encouraged by current and future generations of young music learners, Felix has dedicated and volunteered a significant amount of his time in promoting and sharing Chinese orchestral music with others.<\/p>\n
Felix was one of ten candidates from around the world who was accepted as an advanced class scholarship student at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music\u2019s 2014 summer program in Chinese traditional music, and he was honoured to have studied under renowned liuqin professor, Qiang Wu. Locally, he has won First Award, Best of Class Award, and a scholarship at the Kiwanis Music Festival of Greater Toronto, in the non-western string instruments category. Before joining TCO, Felix was a student of Diocesan Boys’ School in Hong Kong, where he learned to play the ruan and became a member of the school\u2019s Chinese orchestra. He has travelled with the orchestra to London, England, and represented Hong Kong in a performance at the 75th Anniversary Gala Performance of the British Federation of Festivals for Music, Dance, and Speech. Internationally and interprovincially, Felix has travelled with TCO to perform in China, Quebec, and Alberta, in addition to participating in numerous local performances and instrument demonstrations in Toronto.<\/p>\n
Felix currently serves as TCO\u2019s Event Coordinator. He also teaches liuqin and ruan privately as well as at the Music of May music store. His students come from various ethnic backgrounds and range widely in age, from as young as 12 to over 70 years old.<\/p>\n

\u51fa\u751f\u65bc\u52a0\u570b\uff0c\u7ae5\u5e74\u5728\u9999\u6e2f\u9577\u5927\u3002\u4e2d\u5b78\u5c31\u8b80\u62d4\u8403\u7537\u66f8\u9662\u3002\u5728\u6821\u671f\u9593\u958b\u59cb\u5b78\u7fd2\u4e2d\u962e\u4e26\u52a0\u5165\u7537\u62d4\u8403\u4e2d\u6a02\u5718\u53ca\u9999\u6e2f\u6a02\u6a02\u570b\u6a02\u5718\u3002\u4e2d\u4e09\u6642\u96a8\u7537\u62d4\u8403\u4e2d\u6a02\u5718\u4ee3\u8868\u9999\u6e2f\u8d74\u82f1\u570b\u502b\u6566\u53c3\u52a0\u82f1\u570b\u97f3\u6a02\u821e\u8e48\u53ca\u6717\u8aa6\u5354\u670375\u9031\u5e74\u6176\u5178Festival of Festivals\u6f14\u51fa\uff0c\u4ee5\u9999\u6e2f\u97f3\u6a02\u5927\u4f7f\u8eab\u4efd\u8207\u7576\u5730\u6a02\u5718\u4ea4\u6d41\u63a5\u89f8\uff0c\u7372\u76ca\u826f\u591a\u3002<\/p>\n
1997\u5e74\u56de\u52a0\u62ff\u5927\u5b9a\u5c45\uff0c\u7e7c\u7e8c\u5b8c\u6210\u5b78\u696d\uff0c\u540c\u5e74\u52a0\u5165\u591a\u502b\u591a\u4e2d\u6a02\u5718\u3002\u65bc2000\u5e74\uff0c\u4ee5\u4e2d\u962e\u7368\u594f\u300a\u706b\u628a\u7bc0\u4e4b\u591c\u300b\u53d6\u5f97\u591a\u502b\u591aKiwanis\u97f3\u6a02\u7bc0\u7684\u975e\u897f\u65b9\u5f48\u64a5\u6a02\u5668\u7d44\u7e3d\u51a0\u8ecd\u53ca\u5206\u7d44\u51a0\u8ecd\uff0c\u4e26\u7372\u9812\u734e\u5b78\u91d1\u3002\u4e8c\u5341\u591a\u5e74\u4f86\uff0c\u821e\u53f0\u6f14\u51fa\u5f9e\u672a\u9593\u65b7\uff0c\u8db3\u8ff9\u904d\u53ca\u591a\u502b\u591a\u3001\u6eff\u5730\u53ef\u3001\u611b\u6c11\u9813\u3001\u82f1\u570b\u548c\u9999\u6e2f\u7b49\u5730\uff0c\u7a4d\u7d2f\u4e86\u8207\u4e0d\u540c\u6a02\u968a\u5408\u4f5c\u7684\u5bcc\u8cb4\u7d93\u9a57\u3002<\/p>\n
2014\u5e74\u7372\u4e0a\u6d77\u97f3\u6a02\u5b78\u9662\u9812\u6388\u5168\u7403\u50c5\u9650\u5341\u5e2d\u7684\u5168\u984d\u734e\u5b78\u91d1\u3001\u524d\u5f80\u4e0a\u6d77\u97f3\u6a02\u5b78\u9662\u53c3\u52a0\u6691\u671f\u8ab2\u7a0b\u3001\u8ddf\u96a8\u8457\u540d\u67f3\u7434\u5bb6\u5433\u5f37\u6559\u6388\u6df1\u9020\u67f3\u7434\u7684\u6f14\u594f\u6280\u5de7\u3002\u73fe\u70ba\u591a\u502b\u591a\u4e2d\u6a02\u5718\u5f48\u64a5\u7d44\u52a9\u7406\u9996\u5e2d\uff0c\u517c\u4efb\u67f3\u7434\u3001\u4e2d\u962e\u548c\u4e09\u5f26\u7684\u6f14\u594f\u54e1\u3002\u516c\u9918\u65bc\u4e94\u6708\u7434\u884c\u6559\u6388\u67f3\u7434\u3001\u4e2d\u962e\uff0c\u4ea6\u8a2d\u79c1\u4eba\u6388\u8ab2\u3002<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
