In a series of three posts, we are profiling each of the guest adjudicators that will help select the winner of the Piano Concerto Competition. Here is the profile of Grace Lin.
Grace Lin is graduate of The University of Western Ontario, holding a Bachelor Degree in Music.Her principal teachers include John Paul Bracey, Antonio Mazan, and Alfred Rose. Miss Lin has taught all levels of piano, music theories, and music history extensively for over 35 years. In 1994, Miss Lin founded Euromusic, a center for music studies where she has remained as their Principal, Chief Administrator, and a member of their teaching faculty. In 1996, she launched the Markham Music Festival which has become one of the most successful piano festival in the region attracting over 1200 participants each year. Through her profession and personal involvement, Miss Lin maintains a close network with many established and developing musicians in the music community. Grace Lin is also the Centre Representative for the Royal Conservatory of Music Examinations, Markham Centre.
