2011 CICS Annual Fundraising Concert 絲竹飄飄 龍騰虎躍 耀華諮

Where: Markham Theatre for Performing Arts, 171 Town Centre Blvd., Markham

In collaboration with Centre for Information and Community Services (CICS) 華人諮詢社區服務處, Toronto Chinese Orchestra will stage a concert to raise funds for CICS. For this concert, we are thrilled to have a number of special guests.

Fourteen youths from Hong Kong’s Leung Sing Tak Primary School Chinese Orchestra, led by their conductor Mr. Chiu-Shing Ng 吳朝勝, will join together with TCO to form a 65 person Chinese orchestra!

The recently formed band Spire will introduce their youthful blend of music performed on Chinese and western instruments.

CICS Ah-mazing choir 明雅合唱團 will be accompanied by TCO in new arrangements.

The world premiere of TCO Composer-in-Residence Tony K.T. Leung’s Magical Train Ticket will be your passage to a musical tour of six regions in China.
