Kit-yu Lo, born in Hong Kong and now based in Toronto, Canada, is an award-winning orchestral conductor and pianist. She won first prize at the 2023 World Grand Prix
International Music Contest and has been invited to renowned competitions, including The Orchestra’s Conductor Competition (Romania, 2022) and the 2nd Competition Città di
Brescia (Italy, 2019). A participant in the 2018 Curtis SummerFest, she conducted in a public radio broadcast on WRTI Philadelphia.
Kit-yu has studied with esteemed mentors such as Ho-man Choi, Miguel Harth-Bedoya, and Joshua Gersen. Her conducting portfolio includes the West Bohemian Symphony
Orchestra (Czech), Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Curtis SummerFest Orchestra, and various ensembles from University of North Texas and the Chinese University of Hong
Kong. Dedicated and versatile, she brings precision and passion to her performances, connecting deeply with musicians and audiences alike.
